We live in a pain-filled world with overwhelming burdens. We struggle. We hurt.

And students are struggling too.

"My parents died of HIV when I was five. After my grandparents pass, it will be just me left."

-Shonya, a student involved with Cru at the community college nearby

"The only time me and my dad talk is when we're fighting. If I don't talk to him, we never talk."

-Resa, a new believer

"After my mom came home from the hospital (following what we thought was a successful treatment), my mom unexpectedly died. My older brother had to come down from New England to help see me through high school. He's the closest person to Jesus I know."

-Neil, a self-described agnostic I met during an outreach

Though many students are hurting, many are also bringing their pain to God and into community. And many are even finding God in the midst of their pain.
